was it me or was it the moon?
I don’t know about you, but I have been seeing a lot of content about the Super Blue Moon, which has been in our sky this August. Content creators & astrologists on Instagram have produced endless posts about it. They say it brings incredible energy for change & transformation.
Besides the occasional checking of my horoscope (we will leave aside for the moment that I am the most ‘Leo’ Leo you will ever know!), I wouldn’t normally be one for astrology. But right now, it feels fitting.
This time last month, I had to leave a job I loved & to which I had been dedicated for years. I was lucky to be part of a small & supportive team, & I cherish that experience. It was unexpected & a shock to the system, however, I consciously chose not to frantically begin to apply for jobs (as I thought I would or should do), to chase the comfort I had become, well, comfortable with.
I have had many diverse roles within the jewellery industry. I have developed a wealth of knowledge about jewellery, design & production, as well as photography and content creation, marketing, branding & e-commerce within small, sustainable brands, & larger heritage brands alike. I used to feel that this diversity of knowledge was a weakness – a ‘Jill of all trades, master of none’. But over this past month, under the Super Blue Moon, I have realised the true value of everything I have learned over my 10+ years dedicated to jewellery. Now I choose to see this as a strength.
I am determined to begin building something tangible for myself. Something which cannot be taken away from me, and that fills me up while sharing my knowledge & supporting others to do the same.
Whether it was the Super Blue Moon & its energy, or the shock to the system of an unexpected career change, I feel reinvigorated. I am ready for the next chapter, & I am excited to enrich your brand with you. If you would like to find out more about how I can help you, please get in touch or check out my services.
